How to tie the Red Arse Cat by Steve Cullen

Today we are taking a look at a mini lure tied together by Steve Cullen. This fly is called the “Red Arse Cat” and it’s similar to that of a Cat’s Whisker, however it doesn’t feature a bead head. Steve explains that this fly can used throughout Summer, early and late. It finds great success when Trout are switching their feeding habits, hunting fry to fatten up for the Winter. With contrasting colours and plenty of movement, this is a fly that will definitely induce a take, so get a few tied together, ready for those long Summer days.
