Today we are checking out the Lethal Weapon tied by Steve Cullen. As the name suggests, this pattern is lethal when for targeting Brown Trout. If you’re fishing Hill Lochs or anywhere that’s got Brownies this pattern does really well when the sedge are hatching or as a shrimp imitation on waters like Grafham where they are feeding on Freshwater Shrimp. It’s a very simple tie with only a handful of materials needed a super fishy big palmered pattern that you should have ready for your next day out on the loch.
All of the materials needed to tie this fly are available from Glasgow Angling Centre as listed below, but as always, if you need any help finding materials or substitutes then we’ll be happy to help.
Materials Used:
Dubbing: Genuine Seals Fur, mixed with, Veniard Hare Mask
Hackle: Veniard Indian Cock Cape & English Partridge Brown Back
