Erica making waves with South Dade Skiffs

31 August 2022

South Dade Skiffs are quickly making waves along the skiff & inshore fishing communities being labeled as ‘industry disrupters’ with no signs of slowing down. As the best priced technical poling skiff currently on the market with some exciting announcements coming in the 2022 season, South Dade Skiffs have taken ‘floating skinny’ to a new level & the best part is it wont break the bank.

Inshore fishing is sometimes all about how skinny your boat can go, so if you’re looking for a solid built micro skiff, look no further. With a 4 inch draft fully loaded, these skiffs will take you to the skinny water flats you’d otherwise only dream about. These technical poling skiffs turn on a dime only weighing roughly 460 lbs with the motor.

Also with such a light build, trailering with a truck isn’t necessary as most vehicles can tow this skiff & trailer combo with no problems. Customizing hull & ToughDek decking also creates a really unique & custom look, you’re be sure to turn heads.

Meet Erica

My name is Erica and I’ve had the saltwater addiction from a young age. I grew up fishing off the coast of Long Island, New York with my my Pop Pop. When he passed away in my teens I unfortunately never saw the water again until years later, after graduating college. I moved to Florida by myself and bought a condo on the water & a fishing kayak. Getting a fishing pole in my hands again was really important to me. With the help and guidance of some local fisherman, I was able to teach myself a completely different way to catch fish on the flats using only artificial baits. I was hooked again. I’ve now come to love the hunt and you’ll usually now find me poling the flats in my skiff looking for tailing redfish and snook. My favorite is when I get big snook hit on topwater plugs early in the mornings.

Sharing this journey on social media has gotten a lot of attention over the last few years. Now at over 284k followers on Instagram and 70k subscribers on YouTube, I’ve turned this passion & hobby into a lifestyle. I now get to fish full-time sharing my catches and adventures with fans. Go check me out at Erica Lynn on YouTube and @erica_lynn.2 on IG !
